Hollywood legend: 101-year-old Kirk Douglas greeted with ovations on the stage of “Golden Globe”

Kirk Douglas received a loud applause from his colleagues at the 75th edition of the Golden Globe which was held last night at Beverly Hills.

The legendary Hollywood actor and Oscar-winner was greeted with ovations after having appeared on stage with his daughter-in-law Catherine Zeta-Jones to jointly award the Best Screenplay Award.

Kirk, who celebrated his 101st birthday last month, was part of the ceremony as one of the actors fighting against discrimination and abuse at work.

Kirk has become  two Golden Globes in his career. In 1967, he was named Best Actor in the drama for the film “Lust for Life”. The following year, Kirk was honored with the prestigious award “Cecil B.” Demil “for his huge contribution to the world of the film.

According to the unofficial jersey of this year’s event, Kirk and Katherine chose black clothes.
